Due to recent tariffs imposed on certain piping products entering the U.S., we are experiencing significant cost increases, particularly in specific stainless steel and carbon steel categories, as well as other items within our portfolio. As a result, the prices of affected products have increased by up to 35%.
To address these rising costs, we will be implementing a price adjustment, effective February 26, 2025, in the following categories:
• Stainless Steel 150lb Fittings – 10%
• Stainless Pipe Nipples – 9%
This adjustment follows the increases previously implemented, which included:
• 1000# Stainless Steel Pipe Fittings – 25%
• Stainless Steel 3000 lb Fittings – 25%
• MSS Stainless Pipe Flanges – 25%
• Stainless Steel ANSI Flanges – 25%
• A240 Stainless Plate Flanges – 35%
• Stainless Steel Butt Weld Pipe Fittings – 25%
• Carbon Steel Forged Fittings – 25%
• Stainless Steel Tube Fittings & Valves – 25%
• Ductile Iron Flanges – 35%
• Aluminum Pipe Nipples - 25%
Additionally, in our announcement on February 21, 2025, we communicated a 3% - 7% price increase on all Merit Press Fittings & Press Valves, which will take effect as a list price adjustment on March 24, 2025.
Given the fluid nature of these market conditions, we will continue to monitor the situation and apply adjustments as required. Despite our ongoing mitigation efforts, we anticipate cost increases ranging from 10% to 35%, depending on the product category.
